Salvestrin Estate Sauvignon Blanc 2022

Category:

Sauvignon Blanc from St. Helenaa, Napa Valley, California

Tasting Notes

Salvestrin’s Sauvignon Blanc showcases fruit from the Crystal Springs and Laurent Vineyards in the St Helena Appellation. Meticulously hand crafted and aged in a blend of stainless steel and neutral oak, this bright crisp Sauvignon Blanc is driven by minerality and freshness – capturing the natural acidity of the grapes.

Wine Advocate – 92 Points

I tasted a tank sample of the final blend of Salvestron’s 2022 Sauvignon Blanc, a mix of barrel-aged and tank-matured components, sourced from the winery’s Crystal Springs Vineyard and the Laurent Vineyard. A blend of three different clones planted on two different rootstocks, it offers up lovely pear, fig and grapefruit aromas on the nose, while the palate is medium-bodied, crisp and lively. There’s a hint of fleshiness, but overall, the wine is more streamlined in shape, with a silky texture and long, elegant finish.

Food Pairing

Pairs well with cheddar cheese grits with grilled barbecue shrimp.
