Winemaker Notes

Remelluri Rioja Reserva 2015 is a deep and intense red wine with aromas of black cherry, blackberry, and cassis, with hints of tobacco, vanilla, and leather. On the palate, it is full-bodied with velvety tannins and a well-balanced acidity that enhances the flavors of red and black fruits, spices, and balsamic notes. The finish is long and elegant, leaving a pleasant aftertaste of ripe fruit and smoky oak. This wine is a perfect representation of the traditional style of Rioja Reserva, with a modern touch of elegance and finesse.

Bordeaux Bard – 90 Points

A fine Rioja with a few years of bottle age, perfect for food pairings! Aromas of black cherries, leather, cassis, and a hint of smoke create a complex nose. The tannins are already well-integrated, and the wine finishes with a smooth, velvety texture. It’s in a great spot now, but will only improve over the next few years. (Carson McEvoy).
