Nino Negri Ca'Brione 2021
White Blend from Lombardy, Italy
Winemaker Notes
Straw yellow in colour with green highlights; intense floral aroma with notes of elder and robinia, hints of white-fleshed fruit, peach and ripe pear; spices recalling mediterranean herbs and a slight suggestion of sweetmeats. A sense of fulness on the palate with great acidic balance and a finish of natural minerality.
Wine Enthusiast – 91 Points
This superexotic white from the terraces of Valtallina is made from Sauvignon Blanc, Chardonnay, Incrocio Manzoni and Nebbiolo, vinified white. The Sauvignon Blanc and Chardonnay are both partially dried before vinification, giving the wine greater aromatic intensity and richness. The wine has aromas of baked peaches, roasted apples, dried alpine flowers and sweet baking spices. The palate is very lush with grilled pineapple, creamed pear, wild herbs and toasted acacia, finishing with crisp mountain acidity.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with raw fish and shellfish, delicate-tasting cold cuts, goat-meat and young cheeses, white meats and mushrooms.
