Chateau Pesquie Ventoux Ascension 2016

Category:

Grenache-Syrah from Ventoux, France

Andreas Larsson – 91 Points

Intense purple black colour. Very pure and ripe nose displaying ripe dark blackberry, violet, liquorice and tapenade notes. The palate is dense and ripe, very concentrated with notes of kirsch and crème de cassis, balanced by a nice dose of freshness, grainy tannin and a long lingering finish. A very concentrated wine still needing time to open and gain nuance but nonetheless a great effort.

Food Pairing

Pairs well with red meats or game like braised pork, venison with chestnuts, or pheasant with truffles.
