Tannat from Rivera, Uruguay

This is a selection from the oldest vineyards (about 40 years old) at the Cerro Chapeu property in Rivera, in northern Uruguay. It was aged in barrels for 12 months, and the result is a juicy wine with great depth and firm, robust tannins. The weight is imposing, and the flavors of ripe red fruits and black fruits fill the palate. (Patricio Tapia)
