Beaux Freres Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2021
Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon
Food Pairing
Playful, candy-coated raspberry aromas bounce from the glass along with sweet cigar spice, followed by a lush palate of dark cherry and soft yet pithy tannin. Finishes with quenching acidity and lingering, velvety texture.
Wine Advocate – 95 Points
I tasted the 2021 Pinot Noir Willamette Valley about a month after it was bottled, but it doesn’t seem to matter—it bursts from the glass with generous pomegranate, cranberry and raspberry preserves aromas and accents of orange peel, aniseed and tea leaves. The palate is stunning: it strikes a balance between highly concentrated, nuanced fruit and an uplifted, silky structure, and it has a particularly elegant finish.
Bordeaux Bard – 93 Points
Arguably the finest Oregon Pinot Noir I’ve experienced. This wine excelled on all fronts, offering aromas of blueberries, raspberries, and white pepper. Juicy on the palate with firm tannins and well-rounded structure, it showed its best at 3+ hours but was surprisingly approachable shortly after opening. A bright future for this wine, and a definite addition to my collection (Carson McEvoy).
Food Pairing
Pairs well with roasted duck breast, grilled salmon or a wild mushroom risotto.
