Argiano Solengo 2018
Tuscan Blends from Tuscany, Italy
Winemaker Notes
The Supertuscan of Montalcino. The legacy of G.Tachis for Argiano. Since 1995 it represents power and boldness, pride and longevity. This is a balanced and harmonious Solengo with a nose of spice and berries. It is velvety on the palate with great structure and a long finish.
James Suckling – 96 Points
Blackberries, spice, walnuts and currants on the nose, following through to a full bodied, tight and dense palate, yet it’s agile and linear at the finish. Firm, layered tannins. This needs time to come around in the bottle. One for the cellar. Try after 2024.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with pasta dishes with meat or game sauces, second courses based on roasted white meats and grilled or roasted red meats.
