Anko Malbec 2021
Malbec from Salta, Argentina
Winemaker Notes
Dark red in color. Some dried strawberry, with savory, wet-earth and toasty-oak character. Very sturdy, ambitious tannin structure on the palate. The flavors fade away slightly, though in a very nice way.
James Suckling – 90 Points
Ripe blackberries, some figs, licorice and lavender. Very ripe and rich, but still juicy. The medium-to full-bodied palate is tightly wound by firm, assertive tannins. All these elements mean that it will pair fairly well with heavy asados and chorizos.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with tender cuts of grilled meats and steak, barbecue pork ribs, Manchego cheese, Taleggio cheese, and spaghetti with meatballs.
