King Estate Willamette Valley Pinot Noir 2022
Pinot Noir from Willamette Valley, Oregon
Winemaker Notes
This is a beautifully complex wine with elegant fruit and structure. Classic Pinot Noir aromas and flavors of dark fruit – black raspberry, marionberry, blueberry and ripe dark cherry – are joined by accents of black tea, clove, vanilla, toast, orange zest and forest floor. Supple tannins and bright acidity on the palate lead to a coating finish with lingering spiciness.
Wine Enthusiast – 91 Points
Aged for 10 months in French oak of an undisclosed age, this medium-bodied Pinot Noir feels round and smooth in the mouth, with ample tannins supporting gobs of dark raspberry and sweet mulberry fruit flavors. The wine’s aromatics are a wall of dark fruit accented by chalk and orange pekoe tea.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with lamb, duck breast with fruit compote, or herb-crusted pork.
