King Estate Domaine Pinot Gris 2019
King Estate Domaine Pinot Gris 2019
Pinot Gris/Grigio from Oregon
Winemaker Notes
Grapes are hand harvested and whole cluster pressed. The wine was cool fermented in 100% stainless steel tanks which were temperature controlled to maximize fruit character. Aged sur lie for six months.
The nose comes alive with aromas of key lime, orange blossom, white peach, wet stone and wildflower. Up front the wine is round and luscious with balanced acidity building on the mid-palate, bringing out complex and exotic flavors of lychee, kumquat and pear. Hints of key lime, peach skin, lemon tart and brioche enhance the experience. The finish is focused and elegant.
Food Pairing
Pairs well with Thanksgiving dinner, including roasted turkey crown and confit turkey legs along with the sides of sourdough sausage stuffing and corn and hominy pudding with chorizo.
